Leadership is changing.
As organizations start to “flatten” leadership, hierarchical power structures are becoming a thing of the past.
And for organizations resistant to this change, they’ll struggle to attract the dynamic leaders of tomorrow, if latest research is anything to go by.
In the below infographic, www.CEO.com captures the views of 2,400 college students to summarize what they think about the qualities “tomorrow’s” kind of leaders needs to embody.
These students all have an aspiration to reach the CEO hotseat, so their attitudes provide a snapshot into the mindset of the next generation of leaders.
Interestingly, 41% want to become CEO’s… but of their own company. And in terms of what they consider to be the most important characteristic for a leader to have, passion came out on top – with only 3% voting for education (which is interest considering these are college students!).
